Hi
When will the OpenDCL version for AutoCAD 2016 be available?
Thanks for your answer in advance,

OpenDCL support for new AutoCAD releases generally follows the public release of the new AutoCAD version by a week or so.

According to Autodesk, AutoCAD 2016 is binary compatible with AutoCAD 2015.
Of course you have to have access to AutoCAD 2016 beta. :-)
I have tried it and it does work! Well, not everything works fine.
Loading the runtime tools works just fine. Also running an application works fine.
But closing the drawing will crash AutoCAD 2016. In my case AutoCAD Civil 3D 2016 beta will crash.
Not loading the runtime tools and closing the drawing will not crash AutoCAD.

Oops... just read somewhere where Owen says preliminary support for 2016 but runtime not working yet...
Disregard all this.
Yes with the OpenDCL 8.0.0.12 version runtime loaded, AutoCAD 2016 crashes... without it... AutoCAD exits nicely...
Everything else I use, QuikPik, DOSLib works fine with ACAD 2015 version.
Version OpenDCL 8.0.0.12

I will release another build later this week that should resolve most of the 2016 issues.

Thanks. I came here to report the crashing of AutoCAD 2016 but I see it is already being worked on...

It's looking pretty solid right now, so I'll get it released shortly.

Alpha 13 addresses known problems in AutoCAD 2016, and also adds a small new feature enabling controls to be repositioned using the property grid by typing a relative offset (entered with an '@' prefix, like @20) when changing position properties.
If I understand the concept ... That will be SO handy when copying controls.
Thanks for your continuing efforts Owen !!

And you have released it!
With an additional new feature as well.
Thanks Owen!

Preliminary AutoCAD 2016 support was released in March. If you're having problems, please fill out a bug report so the problems can be addressed.

Hi Owen,
I would like to test this release for AutoCAD 2016. Where can I find it, to download it?

Hello, in the upper right of this forum, you can see a download link.
On the other hand, have a look at http://www.opendcl.com. There is a huge download-button.
At least just bookmark http://www.opendcl.com/download/ for a overview of all currently available downloads.
With regards, Fred

Hi Fred,
thank You for this information!
I know the position of the download-link. But I didn't know the compatibility of the version 8.0.0.13 to AutoCAD 2016.
I have just tested the latest version of OpenDCL on AutoCAD 2016 and have found ist working well.
Best regards, HIPPODAMOS
