floating box for distance and id's

Hi,

I have (i think..) a nice idea.
To make a small effective modeless dialogbox to display the results distance / id actions.
In my work i oftenly need this information, fast and easy preferable

Previously i made used Lee Macs' method "Grtext" but i noticed a dialog box that stays open for a while would be better.
Does anybody like to help me to make something to display my variable 'alertstring' ..
